Never a Brownie or a Guide, Alexis' Mum contacted CHQ when the family came from China to settle in Oxford in the autumn of 2010. Coincidentally at the same school as Emily, Maisie & George. Working on Bronze D0fE Award. Unit Secretary as from AGM 16.9.11

Assistant Leader. Daughter of a Leader who used to Guide in Kidlington, like Zoe she used to travel from Witney to Rangers each week. Now at Oxford Brookes University. Almost completed Gold DofE Award, having gained Bronze & Silver, formerly a Brownie Guider, currently a member of the Oxford Gang Show cast and their Dance team. Attended the County Camp, Quest, in 2005 and 2010, also Unit Camp at Nordjamb in Iceland in '06. Has Senior Section Indoor Permit and Chief Guide's Award January 2009. Was in charge of this web site - for her sins!! Left the Unit in September 2009 and started as an Assistant Guider with us immediately after. Completed Queens Guide Award end of 2010 to be presented with it at the House of Lords in April 2011. Awarded her both her Senior Section Camp Licence and her Senior Section Leadership Qualification on 16.9.11.
Becca
Gained her Chief Guide's Award in Autumn 2009, left September 2010, then rejoined as still working for Gold DofE. Studying Wildlife Conservation at Plymouth. Completed her ALQ in Summer 2011.
Emily
Formerly a Guide from Katherine's Unit, came in September as part of a group. Recently chosen to represent Anglia at a camp in Uganda in the summer of 2011. A YL with a local Cub Pack.
Erika
Formerly a member of Aspire Rangers and West Oxford Guides and a member of the Oxford Gang Show cast, joined us in late summer 2010. Started working on Bronze DofE Award with Alexis, Gemma and Lucy. A YL with Rainbows in Oxford.
Flic
Also known as Felicity, joined January 2008, was a member of a local Guide Unit. Working on Bronze, Silver & Gold DofE Award, formerly a YL with 4th Kidlington Brownies. Camped at Essex Jamboree with us in 2008 & Italy 2009. Currently studying Biological Sciences at Edinburgh University. My favourite Horizon memory is the Essex Jamboree and etching!
Gemma
An ex-Guide and member of our local St John Ambulance Brigade. Elected Chair of the Unit 16.9.11. Working on Bronze DofE Award.
Georgina
Formerly a Scout, came in September as part of a group with Emily, Jasmine and Maisie.
Holly
(Leader)
Assistant Leader. Joined the Action Plus Group and moved onto Rangers in February 2001. My hobbies as well as Rangers and Brownies are shopping and going out with my mates. Completed Bronze and Silver D. of E. Award and now a warranted Assistant at 2nd Kidlington Brownies (then I want to move on to ruling the world ha, ha,ha! ;-) Has 1st Response. Went to Kandersteg (Switzerland) with the Unit Summer 2003, to Our Cabana in Mexico representing the Region in the Summer of 2004 and Nordjamb (Iceland) in 2006. A much loved member of the group and the craziest. Gained Chief Guide's Award April 2005.  Attended Innovate Latimer 2005 and Lorne in 2006 plus Intops in Durham 2006. Went on to do a GOLD visit to Russia summer 2007. Left Rangers Sept 2007 & rejoined as an Assistant. Camped at Essex Jamboree with us in 2008 and Italy 2009, Innovate again in 2010 and the Unit Ultimate Adventure Barcelona 2010. Working on Queen's Guide Award, visited Sangam in February 2011, then Australia this summer.
Jasmine


An ex-Guide from a local Village, auditioned for the Oxford Gang Show a few days after her first meeting and got a part. Made Unit Vice Chair at AGM 16.9.11. Came as part of a group, though goes to a different school from the others.
Jennifer
First meeting in September 2011, working on her B-P Award at her Guide Unit in a local Village.
Kayleigh
Joined in April just after her 14th birthday. Formerly a Guide in Oxford. Member of the Oxford Gang Show cast.
Louise Joined in Spring 2007 was a local Guide, Came kayaking and has BCC 2 Star Award and Bronze and Silver DofE, working for Gold at the moment. Studying Anatomy & Human Biology at Liverpool University as from September 2011.
Lucy T.
Just joined, a member of one of our feeder Guide Units, 4th Kidlington - the first we've had for a long time. Working on Bronze DofE Award.
Lucy W.
Gained her Chief Guide's Award in Autumn 2009, left September 2010, then rejoined as still working for Gold DofE. Studying Childhood, Youth & Education studies at Bath University. Completed her ALQ in Summer 2011.
Maisie
Also an ex-Guide recently moved into Oxford from the same village as Jasmine comes from and formerly a Guide with her, already a member of the Gang Show cast. Elected Unit Treasurer 16.9.11
Mim
(Leader)

Formerly a Rainbow, Brownie and Guide in West Oxford District Mim joined Horizon when she was 14 and has been with us more or less ever since, despite her Mum (former West Oxford D.C.) starting a Ranger Unit in her old District. Mim is both a Brownie Guider and a Guide Guider and is working on her Senior Section Leadership Qualification with us at the moment. She has her BCU 2 Star Award 21.9.09, her Chief Guide's Award 14.11.09, her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award 24.6.11 and recently her Queen's Guide Award, 16.9.11. She first camped with the Unit in 2007 when we spent a week at Haven at Perranporth. Also in 2007 she joined the County Camp in Finland. Then in 2008 she attended the Essex Jamboree with us and the Anglia Region Camp in Slovakia. In 2010 she camped at our County Camp, Quest and with us again when we went on our Ultimate Adventure to Barcelona and this year she took her Camp Licence with us by taking the girls on a Water Camp at Longridge. We're just waiting her Accounts. Has her 100 Nights Away Badge and is at present studying Maths & Theoretical Physics at Exeter.

Sister of one of our members, from one of the local villages. Member of the Oxford Gang Show cast.
Nette
(Leader)
Guider with the Unit since 1980 (that long !). In her time has been Division Camp Adviser, County Ranger Adviser and held various other jobs, is currently doing nothing in the County (Hurrah!) Has her Trainer's License (now lapsed) plus most other things!! Celebrated her 25th Anniversary with the Unit with a Reunion Do in April 2005. It was a lovely Party! Attends every camp and major event! Recently awarded 100 Nights Away Badge (only started in Jan. 2006) and her 30 year bar.
Fast approaching that magic age of 65 !!!

(Leader)

Formerly a Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Ranger in Kidlington and was a committed member of the Oxford Gang Show cast. Completed her LQ with 5th Kidlington Brownies. Almost completed both her Gold DofE and Queen's Guide Award. Has her Bronze & Silver DofE Awards and BCU 1 Star Award. Camped at Haven, Perran Sands with us in 2007, Essex Jamboree with us in 2008, Italy in 2009 and Quest 2010 plus the Unit Ultimate Adventure Barcelona 2010. Just completed her LQ extra module with us as Leader, attended Innovate 2010, studying Midwifery at Northampton University.
My favourite Horizon memory was snow tubing and I loved etching during the Essex Jamboree!
